New Years bring new seasons of racing, new cars, new toys and new feats of engineering. There is plenty to look forward to in what is going to be a great year.

In contrast with Subaru leaving the WRC, American leagues (NASA and RA) will still feature Subarus as their most common race car (and possibly still their winningest).  With DIRT’s possible new entries into the sport such as their ProjectRS you’ll have plenty of new Subarus in NASA. 

Fans of Petter Solberg will hopefully be able to watch his driving, albeit in most-likely a non Subaru as he is now a free agent. Rally Norway has even extended its entry deadline for Petter until January 13th.  

Rally America is still expected to have its big names return: Travis Pastrana, Ken Block, Andrew Comrie-Picard and the not so well known Kyle Sarasin. So there will be plenty of competition to watch. Infact, with such big names dropping out of the WRC, Rally America could gain in popularity (world wide even).

2009 is set to be an exciting year. Do any of you have big rally plans this year?

Together Again - Awwwww [ September 1st, 2008 ] By:Charles Smith

So Mark and I spent the summer in different states. We finally made it back into the same area this weekend. Why is this such good news? Means interesting TwoGuysRally stuff will start happening.

In fact there is a rallycross this weekend that we will be attending. If you live in/around the NY Finger Lakes region you should come out and play in the dirt. We’ll be bringing a video camera and a few picture cameras. I know for sure that I will be competing in my WRX and we’ll see about Mark. Small chance it could get rained out (would be a mud fest with rain).

Also we have a few videos we’ve been working on that will come out soon. So you should subscribe to our RSS and YouTube channel. So expect good things from us at TwoGuysRally.

What to Expect from Two Guys Rally [ April 29th, 2008 ] By:Charles Smith

Maybe this is a sign I have nothing to contribute today, but I don’t like to look at it that way. I’ll use the excuse that I am at home in Virginia, visiting my friends and family so things will be back to normal come Thursday for me. To the point, I hope to get you excited about what will happen here.

I Expect to see (so that means you should too):

  1. How To Install Vinyl Stickers
  2. Making a Skid Plate for My daily driver
  3. Rallycross stories with pictures and videos
  4. How To Double Clutch - The Video (and even more how to videos)
  5. More Video Game Rally results
  6. Interviews with some neat rally racers
  7. The purchase of a car and construction of that car into a Rally Ready machine
  8. Maybe some Carbon Fiber nightmares for my daily driver or rally car
  9. More Turbochargers and all sorts of other stuff

I’m pretty excited about what is to come and I hope you are too. Maybe I’ll even change the graphics of the site, add a Logo and do all sorts of neat things. Thanks for reading, I really do appreciate it.
