Racing is expensive, and Rally is no exception. Even racing in an amateur way can be cost prohibitive to the average privateer. That is why we need help from people and companies just like you.
Our Idea
We love racing, we love it so much we talk about it constantly. In one of these conversations on racing, we had the striking idea: ‘Make Racing Transparent’. The thinking behind that is both a frustration with the available information on racing and a hope to maybe one day make Rally more competitive in the United States.
We also figured with the frequency we talk about Rally and racing in general, writing (blogging) about it would come that much easier. That is how Two Guys Rally was born. So far we have been pretty much spot on in that regard. We have continued to maintain weekday updates (with the occasional break).
What You Get: Exposure
What we have to offer you is plenty of exposure. There are a few ways we get you exposure:
- This Site - We’re not like most teams, our main feature is this blog. While many race teams do have sites, we update every weekday and that keeps people coming back for more. A graphic link to your site/storefront will always be on the Sponsor page. Our sponsors also appear in our posts if the topic is relevant. Combine that with our self interest to promote this website and any promotion of our website results in promotion of our sponsors too (and their websites).
- Our YouTube Videos- One of our most successful traffic generators has been YouTube. We enjoy making videos and we’re always looking for more videos to feature our sponsors in. For example, if you provided us with an exhaust for the racecar the installation could make a great YouTube video and could showcase the sound/look of the exhaust.
- Races/Events - Whether it is an Autocross, Rallycross or full Rally, we want to be there. We live and breath racing (hence why we update the site). Your logo’s appearance (or text if you do not have a logo) on our racecar/tow vehicle/daily drivers will be seen and photographed. Pictures and videos will appear on flickr/youtube/car forums/blogs/etc…
Some Results
A website can be amazing, but if no one reads it/participates with it, the site is only good for the authors. Combine that with the fact that Google has indexed 1Trillion URLs (as of 7/25/2008 and that is only a fraction of all the web pages out there) and you start to realize it is hard to get noticed. Our passion for Rally has kept us going this long and we have something to show for it. Between April 8th, 2008 and March 22nd, 2009 we have experienced steady growth resulting in:
- Unique Visitors Total: 6,536
- Visits Total: 9,603
- Pageviews Total: 82,452
YouTube has some neat results too (about 800 people see our videos daily so far):
