Charles’ Bio
I’m Charles Smith, and I’ve been obsessed with Rally Racing since age 15. Of course my mom did not approve of my obsession so that put a big hamper on my dream of rally until I got to college (RIT - Computer Engineering). Then came the barrier of money to enter rallying, but that changed a little when I got a coop (read: job, but required for graduation) and earned enough to go to rally school for two days. That rally school experience reignited my obsession and gave me some confidence in the loose stuff. So now I’m here, working on this site with Mark in hopes that maybe we’ll scrape together enough money/connections to start rallying.
A few weeks before coming up with the idea for Two Guys Rally, I tried to win Redbull’s First Person competition and get some free rally racing lessons. The competition required a video, so Mark and I did our best. We came up with this short video:
If you’re curious I placed 13th in the competition (I only had to be top 10 :(, so close ).
