It was the first event where the DirtyImpreza.com Rally Team (DIRT) was going to be promoted, Keith Jackson’s maiden rally (with co-driver Jon Burke) in his frantically but beautifully prepared Open class STi, and Eli Gilbert and Mindy Delodder’s of Tommy Gun Rally’s return to Gorman after an unfortunate engine disaster before Idaho Rally. Keith did awesome and took 6th overall at the event, Eli and the Tommy Gun Rally car finshed very strong despite almost completley losing his transmission. This was an exciting event for several reasons. Well - hopefully not tearing car parts up... Ze'Neon is ready. I think that the cars in the South West are what's different then what you see from "typical" Rally America events. The F150 of Bill Holmes has run RA events out here - Desert Storm and Quartzite, and has a long history in the SCCA ProRally.
